I wish i lived with Rachel Zoe.......

on second thought, i could never live with her...just watching her stress out on TV stresses me out but i am in love with her house.  rachel zoe's newly decorated L.A. home was put on display last night on her show. and it truly is "bananas"/"AMAZing."  i cant imagine putting that together in 10 days but her nebbie jeremiah did just that.  the stripped lamps are so perfect, i cant get over them. jeremiah brent was interviewed, here.

Aritzia

aritzia opened in soho in june and is AMAZing.  im sure i was so annoying as we walked around the store, saying repeatedly how incredible the clothes were--but they really were unreal.  in one word, the clothes are (sooo) soft.  i mean literally everything i touched was amazingly soft, the blouses, pants, even the jackets.  wearing these clothes would be like wearing your pajamas in public--which of course is like my dream come true. sadly, their clothes arent for sale online, but definitely worth a visit when in nyc.

new york is absolutely my new favorite place, brooklyn in particular.  after going up there this weekend to see my sister, im convinced i will move into some trendy-hipster apartment in brooklyn and get my dream job at bravo within the next year. is that really too much to ask?  pictured below: view from the skyline, the bedford in brooklyn (best grilled cheese ever, they put siracha on it...and a fried egg), and a great old-fashioned inspired wall hanging at the charleston.

 



Fall Jackets!

Although i CANNOT believe that it is almost the end of SEPTEMBER, i'm excited for fall weather...aka reason to get new fall jackets. im obsessed with these printed ones.  obvi the target missoni one is more in my price rage.  however am i the only one who likes it, because EVERY single piece of missoni for target sold out except this...whatever i still like it!

Fried Green Tomatoes

I found some green tomatoes at a local produce stand and decided to try to fry them!  It was pretty simple and they tasted sooo much better than I thought they would.  Perfect for a snack or a whole meal.

1. Slice the tomatoes.  Then set up breading station: Crack one egg and put it in a dish with a little water; put a couple handfuls of flour onto another dish; and finally, put some panko or breadcrumbs into the third dish.

Turkey Meatballs!

my mom refuses to eat ground turkey because she had a bad experience with turkey meatloaf one time...which i can totally understand. even i was a little hesitant to try ground turkey...it just looks gross when its not cooked.  but i got over it.  i think the key to making turkey burgers or meatballs, or meatloaf for that matter, is the seasoning.  its so mild by itself that you can literally add anything....

Spaghetti Squash

i was moseying around the grocery store the other night when i spotted a spaghetti squash! id been wanting to try one forever, but couldnt ever find one.  i browsed through some recipes online and decided to combine a few to see what would work.  its actually so fun when you go to scoop out the "noodles": i was shocked at how noodle-like they are.

and it was very easy to make!....
