yay chicken in greek yogurt sauce!!!

when i was at work today thinking about what i was going to eat for dinner, i never thought this would come out of my oven.  "chicken in yogurt sauce" started with just wanting to use the greek yogurt thats in my fridge and ended up being a new favorite.  i loosely followed "this" recipe:

Although Ina Garten has had some unflattering media coverage in the last year, she only wears jean frocks, and her husband is...well we wont go there:  i have to say i love her food.  My sister made one of her box cake mixes, red velvet, and it was soooo great.  I always question those boxed mixes/sauces/EVOOs of the food network heroes, but this was surprisingly good, although how could it not be, red velvet with cream cheese frosting. As Ina would say, "now, how easy was that" ;)

i want shoes

i know i shouldnt say im sick of summer, but im sick of summer.  and im so OVER summer clothes.  and on top of all that im having anxiety over what i should be wearing the next few months.  im obsessed with all the shoes/booties/boots out there but do i buy shoes now that i wont be wearing for at least 2/3 months?  answer: yes, because what else am i gonna do at work today.  some of my favs so far:

update: wont be buying any more shoes for the rest of my life after receiving a call from my mechanic about how my car has gone to shit.  guess ill just be browsing for now.....

buttermilk lemon ice cream-LIKE WHOA

a couple of weeks ago my sister and i tried lemon buttermilk ice cream at the blue point in duck, nc.  it was delish, so we decided we would make it ourselves. and let me tell you, it was UNREAL.  we tried this recipe.  we only let it sit for about an hour, we added 2 or 3 teaspoons of vanilla, and we put a few honey figs on top.  if you like that tart, tangy, "hip" and "trendy" frozen yogurt they sell at red mango and pink berry, then this is seriously the recipe for you.
